NatureWood® uses a waterborne system of wood preservation known as alkaline copper quaternary (ACQ) to protect wood from insects, micro-organisms and fungal decay. When wood is protected against premature decay its life is extended up to fifty times, saving countless forests from premature harvest while saving consumers money and reducing energy consumption.

NatureWood® is an environmentally-responsible choice, requiring substantially less energy to produce than alternative inorganic building materials, including plastic and steel. The treatment of NatureWood® uses renewable and recyclable ingredients.

Product shown is a freshly-cut southern yellow pine board treated with Osmose NatureWood®. Wood treatment appears as a greenish tinge. Note the complete distribution of treatment product thoroughout the wood.
